Digis Wireless Internet

I finally decided on an ISP—Digis High Speed Internet is a WISP with operations in Fort Collins, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, and Utah County, UT.

Speed

So far (most of August), our service has been really good. We get a consistent 1.5 Mbps download speed and a 600 Kbps upload.

How Much Digis Costs Us

Digis costs us $36.90 a month—$29.95 for month-to-month service (it would be $24.95 if we committed for a year) and $6.95 for equipment rental. We didn’t have to buy the equipment, and they had a new subscriber bonus that covered installation ($139.95) with mail-in rebates. $36.90 is more than DSL if you have a phone line—since we don’t, this is the cheapest service we could find in our area.

Free Month of Internet Service

If you sign up and mention a current Digis customer, you and that customer both get a free month! <shameless plug>My referral number is 9249! Sign up at Digis.net</shameless plug>

    Hello,

Do you still have the Digis service? Any more feedback?

I am thinking on joining… I can use your referral number…

    See you

I still have Digis wireless service, and it’s been nearly 6 months since I signed up. The service is still good and I’m still happy with it.

The only hitch I have run into is that the rebates for equipment installation were a little bit goofy. The deadline dates were not correct, and the installation technician gave us one of the wrong forms. However, Digis acknowledged these problems, let us resubmit our rebate applications to get the rebate anyway, and is working to prevent this problem for future sign-ups.

I still recommend Digis, and it would be great if you signed up with my referral number!

Beware! I signed up for Digis and never got my rebate. I called and emailed them several time only to be put off. It’s a scam.

I got my rebate just fine. And the service still works just great for me. I’m sorry to hear that your rebate didn’t work out Todd.

I’ve never gotten my rebates either and its been 5 months. I call and send e-mails all the time but I too think its a scam. Either that or the company doesn’t have the money to pay the rebates for some reason.

I think that they’re just a little disorganized… I would hope so anyway. Anyone from Digis care to comment?

I just setup a Digis account in Logan and the very first day somehow someone got on it and used 40 gig and they shut me down to 100k for the rest of the month. I called them and tried to work something out and they just keep saying sorry can’t do anything. I don’t really know how that happened, most of it was upload not even down load. The thing the bugs me most is the fact that they won’t try to help me find a way to stop this and get me going again. Just well to bad it will speed up again next month. I mean Digis sure sounds good but I use Vonage for my phone I need something I can count on. Good thing I didn’t switch to the Digis phone line.

I’m looking into getting DIGIS for my Internet and Phone, any more problems about their service? It seems like some people have great success with them and some have really poor time with them. I’m in Logan and was wondering how they compare. Do you still have DIGIS?

I’m not sure what to say about Digis anymore. It seems like a Jekyll and Hyde kind of company - good to some and bad to others.

I had Digis until last month when we moved to a new house. They were fine for us, except for one problem - our antenna kept blowing over, and that wasn’t really Digis’ fault. Our apartment management wouldn’t allow them to properly attach the antenna to the roof.

If you decide on Digis, just make sure to be careful - fill out your rebates quickly, protect your network and connection, and consider a month-to-month contract for a while so you’re not locked in until you’re happy.

    Hey,
Have had digis for a few years now. Hasn’t been too great until yesterday, when we got a new Motorola Attenna. We’ve been on 3 WISPs and this one is the best by far. We are getting the exact speeds as promised now. Finally.

Beware though, they turn your speed down daily if you use it too much. I bugs me. They turn our speed down almost every day. So, we are going to upgrade to their better 7 Mb service.

I have found Digis to be deceptive. They refuse to cancel and charge my credit card after I have closed the account. Check out their BBB.org ratings. Big fat F…
