		<description>I think that the intention of the article I read was to encourage updating and maintaining the entire site, not to niggle over the details of each page. I should have made that more clear.

So if I were to re-write this post, I would focus more on the consistent effort and site-wide focus that are required, instead of chasing the rankings so much. My earlier post, &lt;a href="http://www.diamondlime.com/Blog/archives/2005/05/the-truth-about-seo-search-engine-optimization/" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Truth About SEO&lt;/a&gt;, shows more of my opinion on the matter.

Sure, it's always a good idea to optimize your site for search engine consumption. For example, making sure you properly title your pages, structure your pages with headings, use descriptive text in hyperlinks, etc...

But to go out of your way and expend vast amounts of resources in order to get Google to push you up in the ranks... I don't know.</description>
